Health equity and health equality are not synonymous

• Health equity entails offering the same resources for everyone, regardless of their situation, need, or result.

Examples of health equity include:

1. The outpatient fees are the same across the board for government clinics.

2. A doctor spends the same amount of time with each patient.

3. Everyone in a community who qualifies can get vaccinated.

4. The identical health condition informative leaflet is given to every patient.

2. Equity in healthcare

• It entails giving everyone the assistance they require to receive the same quality of medical treatment.

Examples include:

1. Access to emergency services is available to everyone, regardless of gender, age, attractiveness, financial situation, or even clothing.

2. A medical centre that offers language support for patients with limited language proficiency.

3. Alterations in the way persons without frequent access to nourishing food are treated.

4. Regardless of citizenship status, immunisations are accessible to everybody at risk.
